Twelve South Curve Riser iMac Stand
Eye strain, stiff neck, and backache are some of the key side effects of continuous working & staring into a screen. While you can’t totally negate them, you can surely minimize them with the right desk setup. Most displays have a fixed, non-ergonomic height that does not lend the ideal eye-level vision. Curve Riser is specially designed to ease that issue and avoid any awkward neck tilts.
Rising Above the Rest
Crafted from premium metal, Curve Riser elevates your screen to a more neck-friendly level by adding 4.25 inches to the viewing height. The stand sports a fixed height and could not be adjusted like Twelve South’s HiRise Pro.
The Big Bonus
Twelve South smartly incorporates a built-in shelf into the stand. The perforated shelf is wide enough to store your Mac mini, hard drives, chargers, wallet, phone, or more. This frees up quite a bit of space, aiding you in organizing your desk quite neatly. And since it boasts an open design, you can hide the cables from view as well.
Key Features
Quite like the BookArc or the AirFly Pro by Twelve South, this one is well thought and executed. From the MacBook inspired curve for the uber looks to the ventilated shelf for heat dissipation. From the broad footprint that fits most displays to the curved rubber sole for a stable grip. Every little detail is designed keeping the end-user in mind, a clap on the back for the designers.

Our Impressions
The first impression when the package opened was wow, this looks sleek. As that subsided, the Curve Riser seemed to be too big & heavy for most desks. However, that is what so unique about it. Even while boasting a broad profile, it will blend right into your desk. Especially if you consider the shelf and its organization power. What’s great is the sleek metal accessory is strong and wide enough to hold your display quite effectively and safely. Although at 4.25 inches, it might be too tall. It’s perfect if you are using a shorter desk or a high chair. Otherwise, the eye-level comes a bit above the middle of the screen, which pushes the user to bend the neck a bit. I wish it could have come with an adjustable height feature like HiRise Pro, other than that the Twelve South is as perfect an iMac stand as one would desire.
